Depending on the problem and the severity of the issue, Dr. Yates will then decide what method is best to use. By making a small, discreet incision at the bottom of the nipple, Dr. York Yates will be able to release tissues or sever the shortened milk ducts. Once that portion is complete, Dr. Yates will then stitch you up and send you into recovery.

What Is Recovery Like?
Once you are done with surgery, you will be closely monitored for an hour or so to make sure that you are stable enough to go home. During recovery, most patients experience some swelling and discomfort, but that should subside after just a few days.
