Aveli Cellulite Treatment

What Is Avéli?

Avéli™ is a minimally invasive procedure that delivers a lasting reduction in cellulite dimples on the buttocks and thighs. Avéli provides Dr. Yates with a new, and relatively simple way to release the bands under the skin that contribute to many cases of cellulite. The device allows for precise cellulite treatment without damage to surrounding structural elements.

HOW DOES AVELI WORK?

Aveli tissue fibers

During surgery, the handheld device is passed through a small incision, beneath the skin, to the location of the dimples. Each dimple is precisely identified by a light that is visible through the skin. A small blade can be activated and hidden by the buttons on the device, hidden to pass the device through the tissue, and activated while releasing the bands. When activated, Dr.Yates will release the bands that are causing the dimple precisely. The blade can be hidden and the device can then be passed, often through the same incision, to another dimple and the procedure repeated.

WHO IS A GOOD CANDIDATE FOR AVELI?

The best candidates for aveli cellulite treatment in Utah are at or near their ideal bodyweight, have good skin elasticity, and have cellulite dimples they wish to improve

DOES AVELI CELLULITE TREATMENT REMOVE ALL CELLULITE DIMPLES?

Although cellulite dimples can be greatly improved with Aveli, the results typically result in improvement, but not 100% resolution of cellulite.

DOES AVELI REMOVE FAT OR TIGHTEN SKIN?

Aveli by itself is only designed to release septal bands. However, this can be used in combination with skin tightening procedures or fat reshaping procedures such as liposuction and fat transfer to enhance the result.

DOES AVELI REQUIRE FAT GRAFTING?

Although Aveli does not require fat grafting for success, Dr. Yates is a big fan of fat transfer at the same time. One of the limitations of any procedure that releases fascial bands is that scar tissue in the location of the band please can cause a degree of recurrence. By grafting fat in the space that has been released, there is a physical separation of the bands and improved results. This does add cost and recovery of liposuction to the procedure but for most a worthwhile tradeoff.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN SUBCISION TREATMENT OF CELLULITE AND AVELI?

Aveli is basically a subcision on steroids. Subcision is used to release the fascial bands. With Aveli, the release is more complete, accurate, and without damage to surrounding tissue that can lead to scarring.
