Mommy makeovers are very popular here in Salt Lake City and Utah. Women generally get married early and have many children at a fairly young age. They are in their 20’s and 30’s, done having children, and in need of getting their pre-pregnancy bodies back. Dr. Yates has vast experience with the mommy makeover and this is the largest part of his practice.
A mommy makeover is not a specific operation, but is tailored to the needs of each patient. The issues that are generally addressed with a mommy makeover are saggy breasts, loss of breast fullness and size, stretch marks on the tummy, loose skin on the tummy, and flabby abdominal muscles. This involves a combination of a tummy tuck, liposuction and breast enhancement surgery (often a breast lift and breast augmentation with breast implants). Oftentimes, these procedures can be done in combination. For cost and safety issues we will often separate the procedures by a few days or weeks. Generally, one should wait until at least 6 months after delivery or breast feeding to proceed with a mommy makeover. Dr Yates is very experienced in the complete mommy makeover process, providing service to the Salt Lake City metro area in Utah.
How much does a mommy makeover cost?
The fees associated with mommy makeover include 1) surgeon’s fees, 2) anesthesia fees, and 3) facility fees. As Dr Yates has an in-office operating suite, the facility fee is minimal. This is a cost savings directly to the patient. For a list of the costs of common procedures performed by Dr. Yates click here.
What is the recovery like after a mommy makeover?
The recovery after a mommy makeover depends on the actual procedures performed. Oftentimes Dr. Yates will recommend separating some of these procedures by a couple of days or weeks for safety and recovery issues.
On our Facebook business page, other patients have discussed their recovery and experience after mommy makeovers as well as other procedures.

Before & After
Mother of three desired mommy makeover consisting of breast augmentation and abdominoplasty. Her breasts had significant droop and a tear drop shaped implant above the muscle was chosen to help maximally lift and support the breasts without a formal lift. These were 330 cc oval base moderate projection Sientra implants. Had she chosen a standard round implant placed beneath the muscle she would have been left with a fairly droopy postoperative result. She is shown at 3 months and reports she went from a B cup to a D cup. Her abdomen scar is still quite red but we would expect significant fading over time View More.
