Nonsurgical and minimally invasive cosmetic procedures are becoming more and more popular as the technology improves. As trendsetters, we at Dr. York Yates Plastic Surgery are proud to offer some of the most effective, noninvasive, nonsurgical procedures available to our Utah patients.
A skeptic, Dr. Yates personally vets a procedure thoroughly before offering it to his Utah cosmetic surgery patients. Dr. Yates and his staff personally use and stand behind any of the procedures we offer. Our excellent reputation is at stake if we offer flawed systems.
Our Favorite Nonsurgical Procedures
A new category in cosmetic surgery, the ONLY procedure that builds muscle and burns fat. FDA-Approved for use on abdomen, arms, calves, and buttocks. It is essentially the gym, on steroids, without the time commitment. It is not inexpensive, and we would consider it a fantastic option for the busy professional. For younger patients, it can help you create that 6-pack or lifted buttock that you have wanted. For older patients, where core weakness can be a significant cause of unsteadiness and back pain, it can be the “fountain of youth.”
The first and ONLY noninvasive treatment for underarm sweat and odor. High patient satisfaction.
Zimmer Z-wave treatment of Capsular Contracture
We have seen excellent improvement in capsular contracture treatment with the Z Wave radial shockwave device. It is best suited for patients when used immediately for a new diagnosis of capsular contracture. The procedure has been shown in one study to have a 75% success rate. When used early on, It can prevent patients from having an expensive capsular contracture surgery in the future.
Z-Wave + CoolSculpting
CoolSculpting has been shown to be more effective when combined with Z Wave technology. Not only is it more effective but much more comfortable than the traditional post-treatment massage.
Other Nonsurgical or Minimally Invasive Procedures That We Offer But Are Less Excited About
- Thermismooth – Nonsurgical skin tightening of the eyelids. For a quick touch-up before something like a class reunion, this is a good option, but there is minimal long term change
- Thermitight – Minimally invasive skin tightening. This works but requires surgery and is quite expensive for the amount of tightening we have seen. We are looking at new options to replace this. Particularly Renuvion (J-Plasma) which we will be demoing on staff soon. Stay tuned.
