However, once your body is fully healed, you will start to get sensations back and will start to feel like normal once again. Some patients complain that they feel a lowered sensation in their nipples during recovery, whereas other patients complain that they experience a heightened sensation during recovery. Either way, it’s important to know that it should subside after a few weeks time when your body has healed from surgery.
Help With Nipple Sensation
If you are experiencing any abnormalities in regards to your nipple sensation, the best thing you can do is massage your breasts and focus on the areola. Although it may be uncomfortable at first and maybe even a bit painful, the more you massage your breasts and nipples, the more likely you are to have your normal nipple sensation return.
